The History of Camp Hale with Greg Poschman
Join Explore Booksellers and Environment Colorado for a celebration of the recent Camp Hale-Continental Divide national monument designation!
Pitkin County Commissioner Greg Poschman will emcee the evening and provide the history of Camp Hale—a training ground for the 10th Mountain Division soldiers who fought in WWII, his father among them. Expert speakers will talk about the work being done to protect public lands in the Colorado Rockies including the Thompson Divide west of Marble and Crested Butte, the ski industry's role in this conservation, and how 10th Mountain veterans are involved in these efforts. Environment Colorado is a member organization of the nonprofit consortium, The Public Interest Network, that owns Explore Booksellers.
